14th Annual Canadian IT Law Association Conference

IT-Can comes to Montreal for its fourteenth annual conference. This leading conference in the Canadian world of IT law once again delivers a very substantial and interesting program, along with top quality speakers!
On the first day, a panel on IT Contracting will adress the following topics : service levels and liability, data confidentiality, risk allocation, and privacy and cloud computing. Two separate presentations will also take place, the first on social media and the second on open source business models.
The second day starts with an annual IP update on copyright, patents and trademarks. The topic of the afternoon panel will be online and mobile privacy: location based services, profiling and target advertisement, deep packet inspection, social media and much more…
Aside from these conferences and panels, the program of each day suggest a choice of eight roundtables: IT industry regulation, e-commerce and consumer protection, technology and litigation, recent developments in Québec, recent developments in communications law, transformations in outsourcing, IT procurement and finally comparative IT law.
